Approaching the end.

This time last year I was wondering what it would be like to be in Kabul, the envrionment, the job, everyday life, security etc etc. The answers to those thoughts I have yet to write here in the blog(but I will don't worry).
Exactly a year later I am sitting at home in my kitchen in the western Balkans thinking about how life will pan out after the 7th June when my time with ISAF/NATO will end (and by default Afghanistan). What lies ahead?

For the next few weeks you can follow me as I start to readjust to "Balkanisation" (and home).

DFBMBE Does the 'Stan

Well in a nutshell I am a Brit, Digital Influence Activity Evangelist, Broadcaster, Blogger, former NGO Director and a World Music lover. Bit of an eccentric too! I have a zest for life even though I am getting old!

I was in Kabul, Afghanistan, from June 2010 until June 2011 working with Radio Bayan (formerly Radio Sada-e-Azadi) the NATO broadcaster as their Editor-in-Chief.

I set this blog up in order to document the year I was there..

So, there's some audio, video, images (and some text).
